From Slope To Snuggle!
It's a matter of attitude! I personally love the winter because it gives me such a great chance to wear all kinds of great clothes! From snuggly fleece to leather, from warm merino wool to chiffon, from knits to cocktail frocks, I can ring the changes until I'm blue in the face. Winter weather clothing gives me such an incredible array of choices that I never tire of it. The winter season brings such festive possibilities too! Parties galore, skating on the river with a big fire on shore, around which to enjoy hot chocolate, the ski shack and all the fun up there. I'm in my element.
The fashion houses go crazy as well trying to outdo each other. Whether it's in women's jackets and parkas, long wool winter coats, outlandish scarves, elegant gloves or warm knitted mittens by my beloved Grandmother. There's just no end to the variety and fun in finding and choosing clothes for the winter. The fashion houses outdo themselves too with a never ending array of elegant coats, dresses and pants for the holidays and a tons of jackets, parkas, pea coats, stylish hats and cute chalet numbers. Come on, it's great time of year. I forget all those warm, snuggly things too for chilly evenings when you pour your favorite cocktail and hunch up in front of the fire with your baby! I just love the winter! So where shall we shop for all these goodies? Well, I've got my favorites there too! Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus are high on my list as is Sak's Fifth Avenue. I often find good things at Bloomingdale's and I browse online a lot. I seldom buy that way though. It's too hard to find things that look just right online, I find plus I love to shop! I'm human, darn it! Just remembered, I do need a new ski jacket and I'll probably use an online supplier for that. Backcountry or Eastern Mountain Sports. There's an EMS near me as well if I see something I like and want to check it out physically and save the shipping. I'm a frugal girl too! (well occasionally!). The whole subject of party dresses sends me in to a frenzy of excitement. There are some really stunning offerings out there this year and I'm going to find me couple of killer outfits and hang the expense! Want to join me and head out on our first expedition.
