New Coats I Have Spotted
No I'm not "in fashion" but I keep my eyes and ears open for good looking items that cross my field of vision. I get some from the runways but often features in magazines or one of my favorite sites in the world - shopbop. Take this one for example. Smythe calls it a surplus coat with fingerless gloves. Yup, the gloves are built in - ya can't lose them! It has zip and 6-button closures, a fold-over collar and buckled straps at waist. There are patch bust pockets and flap hip pockets. Drawstring and snap closure at bottom hem. Button-tab epaulets. Attached fingerless gloves. Single-button cuffs. Long sleeves. Lined. 28" long, measured from center back. Fabrication: Tweed. Shell: 100% wool. Cuff: 80% wool/20% nylon. Lining: 97% polyester/3% elastane. shopbop's item is Style #: SMYTH20005 and the price is $735. Take a good look, I think you'll like it a lot.
